With complete collections formed, historians were able to see first hand the history of the country by viewing the financial instruments that caused the country to prosper. All sorts of things were purchased with these coins at one point of history and its remarkable to see which things faired the trip better.

Many coins were taken by ship to various parts of the world and were lost at sea when ships encountered stormy weather. Now, hundreds of years later these coins are brought to view once again and the value of the coins that are found are virtually priceless.
