. Realistic goals: the key to setting career goals is to set goals that are realistic and achievable. If you dream of taking over your company, that may be slightly unrealistic. A goal like becoming the CEO of the company is attainable and realistic. When you set yourself attainable and realistic goals and when you achieve them, you will feel good about yourself. It will give you the confidence to work harder.
